What is a Nutritional Therapist?

We are uniquely trained to understand how nutrients, other foods and lifestyle factors influence the function of the body in a patient centred manner. It’s a complementary medicine that uses food as medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

My Inspiration

I have always had a love for food, as I got older, I started to realise the impact certain foods had on the body. This was made apparent when my daughter was diagnosed with coeliac disease an autoimmune disease, needing a gluten free diet for life. Having realised the small changes that can happen if you change your diet slightly can have a real impact on your body and wellbeing. This gave me a thirst to learn more about nutrition and lead me to train as a Nutritional therapist at the college of Naturopathic Medicine in London. I can help conditions such as Auto immune, Chronic fatigue, Gut health, Hormonal imbalances, Fibromyalgia, Joint aches & pains, muscle repair, Skin issues, Stress management, Thyroid health, Weight management, Optimising health

My Approach

I want to inspire and support you to wellness through nutrition and lifestyle. I’m passionate about the impact different food types can have on your body - from harmful to healing. We are all individual and it’s a very individual approach that I take, it's unique to you. This is achieved by looking at the body as a whole, rather than just the condition or symptom. Nutritional therapy may identify and address potential nutritional imbalances, identifying and addressing the root cause of the symptoms. Through extensive case taking between the client and myself, we work together to balance the body and correct imbalances through food and lifestyle to support your body’s natural healing to optimal health.

Food Intolerance testing

Do you suffer with any of the following problems?

Did you know it could be caused by certain foods that you eat?

A simple non invasive test can be used to pinpoint potentially harmful foods and food intolerances that could be causing your symptoms.

Did you know it could be caused by certain foods that you eat?

A simple non-invasive test can be used to pinpoint potentially harmful foods and food intolerances that could be causing your symptoms.

The Test

The simple, non invasive test takes up to 45 minutes to complete and the results are instant. The test itself is painless and is best described as similar to a ball point pen touching the tip of your finger upon an acupuncture point.

The Machine

I use the Dietx machine known as a BER (Bioenergetics Resonance Medicine) as its capable of measuring changes in the body’s resistance to certain substances, which will help pinpoint potentially harmful foods.

Cost: £70
